Terms of use

The plain-English rules for using this site.

1. Information, not legal advice

fightthefine.co.uk provides general information and template letters about UK parking and traffic penalties. It is not legal advice, and using the site does not create any adviser–client relationship. Rules, amounts and deadlines change and vary by area — always check the details printed on your own notice, which take precedence over anything on this site.

2. Templates are provided as-is

The appeal letter generator produces a draft based on the options you choose. You are responsible for checking that everything in your letter is true and accurate before sending it. Never submit grounds that don’t genuinely apply to your case — dishonest appeals can have serious consequences.

3. No guarantee of outcome

Many appeals succeed; many don’t. We make no promise or guarantee about the outcome of any challenge, appeal or representation made using information or templates from this site, and we accept no liability for any loss arising from their use.

4. Independence

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any council, Transport for London, the DVLA, POPLA, the IAS, the BPA, the IPC or any parking operator. All trade names belong to their owners and are used only to identify them.

5. Fair use

You’re welcome to link to any page. Don’t scrape, republish or resell the site’s content or tools without permission — they’re free for drivers, not for repackaging.

6. Contact
