I have a permit. Why did I still get a notice?

Two reasons account for most of them. Either the permit does not cover the particular movement, which makes it a code 59 rather than a 58 and is worth pointing out, or the permit is held against a different vehicle or a lapsed period. Check the registration and the dates on the permit against the notice, then send the permit with its reference.

How much is a code 58 penalty?
